Reverend Keith Howell-Garvin officially announced his candidacy for the Ward F City Council seat last night at his packed campaign office on Martin Luther King Drive. Surrounded by community members and distinguished guests, Howell-Garvin declared his commitment to serving the residents of Ward F as part of 'Team O'Dea,' the slate led by Commissioner Bill O'Dea in his bid for Jersey City Mayor.
The event drew a host of supporters, including Hudson County Registrar Jeff Dublin, Hudson County Clerk Junior Maldonado, and Council-at-Large candidates Councilman Daniel Rivera, Kristen Zadroga Hart, and Saundra Robinson Green. Howell-Garvin was also honored by the presence and support of fellow clergy members who have stood alongside him in his faith-based and community-driven mission.
“As a lifelong resident of Jersey City, I have dedicated my life to service—through faith, community engagement, and advocacy,” said Howell-Garvin. “I believe Ward F deserves a leader who is deeply rooted in this community, who understands its challenges, and who will fight tirelessly to uplift every resident. I am proud to stand with 'Team O'Dea' to bring a vision of progress and opportunity to Jersey City.”
